He painted the Tardis Explodes painting*, he left a message to Amy* on his Sunflowers painting. His story was featured in the episode ‘Vincent and the Doctor’.
Join us for a relaxing afternoon exploring the artwork of Vincent Van Gogh at the National Gallery of Victoria’s exhibition ‘Van Gogh and the Seasons’.
Even though you won’t really get to see Tardis Explodes, nor will you find the message to Amy in Sunflowers, you will be able to view the amazing artwork of one of the great artists in history.
We have been advised by the National Gallery that there is a group booking rate if we can get together 10 or more people. The cost for this is $25.20/each (usual price is $28). If you are interested in booking through the club, please contact Kristie on 0478 840 005.
For more information on the exhibition, see http://www.ngv.vic.gov.au/exhibition/van-gogh-and-the-seasons/
Afterwards, we’ll be going out to dinner (optional). Feel free to join us.
**Disclaimer: Van Gogh didn’t actually paint the Exploding Tardis. And there’s not really a message for Amy in Sunflowers. But you really should know that! 😉
