Mill Park Library is once again running their very own pop culture Con! This day will be chock full of fun including cosplayers, super heroes, video games, a jumping castle, and light saber workshops and demonstrations with the Southern Rogues Saber Corps. Plus: Lego, face painting, manga, merchandise stall holders, and much more. Meet fan clubs including Star Trek USS Southern Cross, Star Wars 501st Legion, Victorian Dr. Who Fan Club, Northern Cosplayers and many others.
So GEAR UP and get along to LIB-CON.

A massive range of merchandise from both Business and Private collectors will be on display and available for purchase.
DWCV will have a stand and display.

Oz Comic-Con Xmas Edition returns to MCEC in 2023.
DWCV plan to join in the seasonal celebration this year with a Christmas special presence (presents?).
For our January/Australia Day meeting we will be holding an InterClub BareFoot Bowls event with USS Southern Cross Melbourne Chapter, at the City of Melbourne Bowls Club in Flagstaff Gardens.
Drinks bar and some snacks available from the bowls club.

This will be our traditional board games day (and maybe some video games too), get together and try out something new!

Wendy Padbury will appear at the Treacy Centre on Sunday 18th February.
Wendy played Zoe Heriot, companion to Patrick Troughton’s second Doctor alongside Frazer Hines as Jamie.
She also played companion Jenny in the stage play Doctor Who and the Daleks and the Seven Keys to Doomsday.
She has reprised the character for Big Finish audio adventures and recently in Tales of the TARDIS for BBC iPlayer.
Her daughter, Charlie Hayes, who regularly performs with Big Finish, will accompany her on the tour.
Wendy also worked as an agent, representing actors including Nicholas Courtney, Colin Baker and Mark Strickson, and discovering a young talent called Matt Smith.

CANCELLED! – Due to the extreme heat and some technical issues with The Hub’s aircon, this meeting will not be going ahead.
Our March meeting will be at our home at The Hub at Docklands at 80 Harbour Esplanade, Docklands VIC 3008 in the city of Melbourne.
We return to our run through the Doctors from the 60th anniversary and reach the (first) David Tennant era – Rose, Martha, Donna and the return of the Time Lords.
But hopefully we’ll also have some time to consider the new 14th Doctor specials!
Note we plan to start an hour early to fit in all 2 (or is it 3?) Tennants!

Supanova is back in Melbourne for another year.
Jodie Whittaker will be appearing on the Sunday only – autographs $150, photographs $160.

Doctor Who Club of Victoria will have a booth present on both days, with a wide range of Doctor Who goodies on sale and displays to interact with.
