The Doctor Who Club of Victoria is proud to be a member of the Intergalactic Fan Clubs – a collective of like-minded fan clubs from around Melbourne and Victoria. With the intention of bringing fandom together and supporting each other, the Intergalactic Fan Clubs also hold occasional events such as bowling days, where members from different clubs get together for friendly competition, fun and socialising.

Victorian Discworld Klatch
For fans of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld series, Victorian Discworld Klatch holds regular events and online discussions. They even host the Australian Discworld Convention – Nullus Anxietas every two years.
Bendigo Whovians Society
The Bendigo Whovians Society began as a Facebook Group in 2015 to bring together Doctor Who fans from Bendigo and surrounding areas. They hold occasional social events and have a strong presence at Bendigo’s local pop-culture convention, Bendi-Con.
Don’t Name the Doctor
Not a fan club as such, but a Facebook page created when it was rumoured that the Doctor’s real name was going to be revealed. Once a year they run the Whovian Parade, where fans of Doctor Who walk through Melbourne, along with a raffle to support the Starlight Foundation.
New Melbourne Browncoats
For fans of Serenity/Firefly and other works of Joss Wheadon. The New Melbourne Browncoats hold semi-regular events with a strong emphasis on donating to charity and doing good works. Members receive a cool set of dog-tags and entry into monthly competition draws.
Austrek – The Star Trek Fanclub Inc.
Based in Melbourne, Austrek was formed in 1976 and founded on the principles of Gene Rodenberry’s vision of mankind. Holding monthly meetings, members receive a copy of their ‘Captains Log’ fanzine and discounted entry into meetings.
Starfleet USS Southern Cross
Correspondence (online) chapter for Starfleet International, the USS Southern Cross primarily covers Australia and New Zealand, but welcomes members from all around the world. They hold regular chats and other online activities.
501st Legion, Knightfall Garrison
The Knightfall Garrison is the Victorian chapter of the 501st Legion costuming organisation. The 501st are a volunteer group making appearances at events, fundraising for charity and volunteering – all in the name of the Empire!
Rebel Legion, Hoth Base
Hoth Base is the Victorian chapter of the Rebel Legion costuming organisation. Offering a place for the Star Wars costuming enthusiast to enjoy, express and share their costume talents, while also giving back to the community through works of charity and volunteer work.
Star Walking Inc.
Founded in 1988, Star Walking is the oldest non-official Star Wars fan club in the world. They hold regular ‘Skyforce’ meetings in Melbourne and Sydney. Members receive discounted entry to meetings and their digital magazine ‘The Force’.
Transformers Collectors Club of Australia
Uniting Transformers fans and collectors alike, the Transformers Collectors Club of Australia holds meet-ups, an active Facebook group and even a podcast. Membership gives you access to member-only raffles and give-aways.
